Not at UT or a$m, or many other schools. At TCU there would be an obligatory mention of it when discussing the school chess team.Meh. College kids and public intoxication kinda go together. Sure, he's underage, but not many people are gonna care about that.
College kids caught drinking...oh the horror of it all.
Yes my underage son was caught drinking at a Univ. And yes the horror cost be about $2K. Open beer container = $2K. Go figure.
That is a state law. If you don't like it you need to work to get people elected that will change it to 21. On a military base, a soldier only needs to be 18 to buy alcohol (at least as far as I remember).I think drinking age at 21 is a joke. My son is apparently mature enough to be drafted and die for his country. But a Bud Light is apparently waaaaay more than he can handle.
So...his Heisman chances are dead right?
Incorrect. That used to be the way, but it is now the age of the state that the base is in (all states are 21) unless you are within 50 miles of Mexico or Canada. That is a state law. Heavens, no one on this board ever got drunk as a minor. Nope.
Wouldn't have cost you anything if you left him where he was.Yes my underage son was caught drinking at a Univ. And yes the horror cost be about $2K. Open beer container = $2K. Go figure.

Oddly enuff, I was drunk a couple times as a minor.....but never as an adult......most of the minors I was in college with did their share of unwise drinking, but then none of them were on athletic scholarships....Actually, I did, WCJ. Sorry.
