Yes, surprised to see the big, bad SEC with only 3 in the top 10.

Interesting note that Spurrier takes home nearly half of his school's coaching budget. Article noted that was the only category where Saban (who receives about 30% of Alabama's coaching budget) didn't lead the pack. Spurrier being so far ahead there isn't something to be proud of, as it suggests he's not looking out for his assistants.

Also, since buyouts were a big consideration in Forbes' calculation of power, I thought it interesting that the article didn't mention TCU's unusual arrangement with LHCGP in that category.

In Patterson's case, the lack of a buyout clause represents power; perhaps Forbes took that into account without mentioning it, since it works against their stated criteria.
