I would give Daje a second chance. Don't think he will be here for reasons stated previously but I would take him in a heartbeat. Let him play the role of Skye Dawson...and 5th string RB???? Really???

Hypothetically, if Daje transferred to TCU, he would have to sit a year then have 3 to play 3, no?

With the running backs that seem to be lined up for next year and the foreseeable future, does TCU have room for Daje as a running back or slot receiver? Considering other needs and players that are immediately available with 5-to-play-4 eligibility, I doubt it-- unless the coaches see Daje as a world-beater at another position.

"Hypothetically": there may be too much pride on both sides of the deal for it to work, even if UTx and the conference would release Daje to another conference school.

I would guess Daje's going JUCO or out of State, if he goes anywhere at all after the dust settles from UTx's disappointing (to them) season.

Rumored that Gundy interviewed with Tennessee at his home yesterday. Would love to see him out of the Big 12. That guy can call a game on the offensive side of the ball.

Gundy and Mike Holder (the AD) have a very testy relationship...Holder did not extend Gundy at any point when he was building that program up. He basically let Gundy's contract run out after the end of last season, even though Gundy just delivered the best year in the history of the football program.

There were rumors Gundy met with A&M last year when he was still without a contract. Who knows, maybe he still doesn't feel like he's being taken care of? In the end I don't think he'll leave because I'm not sure if TN is a better job than OKSt, but if he leaves it won't have much to do with TBP. Tennessee has an unbelievable booster network and they can probably offer him more money thank OKSt.

Briles isn't going anywhere. At Baylor, he has everything he needs to win and about 10% of the headaches he would at a school like Arky.

Everything except for a school without a horrible football reputation in a crappy town that's hard as hell to recruit to.

I have heard the same. I work with a guy whose Dad has some major tie-ins with their administration and said there are some relationships gone sour. This is what ultimately pushes the top 10 guys away; not short pockets, but bad relationships with the administration. I'm not saying anything is a foregone conclusion, but it would take something like this to eject Gundy from his alma mater and T Boone's payroll.

Daje was/is/will be a CB if he ever steps foot on TCU campus as a Frog....but it will never happen.

In El Paso, there is a percentage of the population that feels more. New Mexican than Texan. I bet J Sauce can confirm that.

Si Si. When I first moved out here, I saw a billboard that read "El Paso: An All-American, True Texan City". I assume that was their marketing ploy to say "Hey, we aren't Juarez!!". I can run with the All-American bit somewhat, and maybe it's just a product of the side of town I'm on (west side, border of NM), I work with and live around a ton of NMers who don't really adhere to the whole "proud to be a Texan" bit.
