Do you want to wager whether this a 6000-yard offense in '25?? My number is 50x-573-4319 or PM/respond for real number. I am an innate optimist but looking at the teams that post 5500 yards plus the last 3 years, I do not want to be a part of. Sorry to burst your chinese bubble(flying over North Dakota) when you gain 5k + yards that has a unique propensity to put stress on your defense.

As you said earlier, I do not know anything about TCU football and am stoopid. The rubber meets the road if you have the brass/bravado to take a bet.

Keep forgetting about this guy…I am excited about him from what I’ve seen, for sure.
I watched about 15 minutes of his tape since October. Granted, he is working against Hschoolers I do not know what Division 5a,6a? The dude has unusual Contact balance skills. A RB is born with CBalance skills or he is not. His change of direction skills are very very good. His defensive tape reminds me of Derrick Kindred. His Offensive tape reminds me of a hybrid Walter Abercrombie/Joe Washington.

He was taking the majority 80% of these snaps from a semi wildcat formation. When a RB takes direct snaps, they are particularly vulnerable, but Denman exceeded.

This is a classic example of when athleticism overrides 235 lb brutes in backfield.

Good eyes, I think you’re right. He‘s finally fighting his natural tendency to go for the corner every time, and he’s trying for the tough inside yards on either side of the tackles.
I hope Cam continues to move in a positive direction, and I think he will. If not, he will be passed by Payne, Palmer, & Denman. All 3 of these guys are tough ball carriers. It’s very likely we will also get another back from the portal, so with 5 healthy backs vying for PT, the competition should be outstanding.
never under estimate the value of a 3.5 yard gain up the middle on first down.

Yep. The guys that can get 2-3 yards out of nothing are the best. RBs who can run for 10-15 yards when there is a big hole there are a dime a dozen. And it's nice to have a HR hitter who can occasionally take it to the house but give me the guy that keeps drives going by churning out tough yards.

Makes me think of LSU's Hester when Miles called to go for it on 4th down several times in that game way back in the day.

Mendenhall leaving New Mexico after just one year. He has apparently already been hired as the head coach of Utah State.

I’m guessing he wants to get in the Pac 12 rather than be left in the MWC but an interesting move nonetheless.

That whole thing has really slowed. The PAC announced a month ago that they were really close to signing a TV deal thru Octagon. Now the PAC has gone dark on the subject, and Canzano is saying it could be as long as few months.
Without a TV deal the PAC cannot recruit any additional teams. They need at least 2 more to be viable. I’d be surprised if the transfer teams aren’t secretly getting nervous by now.

Left my glasses home this morning, I read that as Inmate Optometrist. Seemed an odd line of work.

Man I never thought I’d see this.
The Okie-lite recruiting class was not even mediocre. How does OSU expect to improve next week with the portal if nobody knows who the coach will be.
This was one of the B12s biggest brands and they appear to be on the verge of a death spiral.

When Pickens died, he lost his main connection within the university. That lined up with a couple of bad seasons, with this year being epically terrible. So I kinda assumed there would be some churn within that department this winter.

I doubt he budges and is prob hoping they do try and fire him so he can sue for even more money

pokes were in the b12 championship last year and won 10 games including the texas bowl. two years earlier they won 12 including the fiesta. oSu is collectively out of their minds if they let him go.

Nah. He looks like he's mailed it in. He's been a great coach there, but it's time for some new blood.
