We lost our starting QB and best WR. Kind of hard to ignore that by focusing on the number of starters vs the production.

meh, we still have our no. 2 reciever who shows out. and we seem to have some magic room where we store a star safety for each season. I think we are better off than folks realize.

Last nights practice was the 3rd in a row that Craig didn't throw an interception, and had numerous TD passes.
Dwyer is having a great camp at X, and Ezukanma appears to be taking over the starter’s role at Z, while Jeremy Scott is still coming up to speed. Ed Small is uncoverable at slot and catching everything.
There is a true freshman, James Scott, who is 6’-5 230 lbs (playing behind Dozie right now) that has several catches where he has skied over defenders.
The TE room with Pimpton, Kaiuway, & Ashley is also receiving high praise.
At 5:00 minutes in these 2 guys are talking about WRs/TEs in last night’s practice.

Fields also intercepted senior quarterback Jaden Craig in the end zone and should’ve had another interception of Craig earlier in the week.

Ks. State only got 1 vote and Iowa St. got skunked.

We should have won at least 1 of those games that we lost last year.
It feels like we just choked.

Yeah, I took it from JC’s video, but I don’t doubt that Steven Johnson is charting more accurately, as he has charted all 3 QBs thru every practice.

Give us your preseason Top 25 and then we'll see how it looks at the end of the season. Let's see how smart you are.

Another way to look at this is that more than half the teams ranked in the Top 25 before the season finished it that way. For those that think preseason rankings are dumb, I totally agree with you. But they aren't going away, and all voters have to go on is gut feel. It's a very inexact science. We were preseason #2 not too long ago and nobody seemed to have a problem with the rankings that year.
