I can't stand Jim Rome. Between him and Stephen A. Smith I don't know who is louder and more ridiculous.

Still curious to hear how the interview goes.

He moved to CBS Sports Radio but is not on in the DFW area. They did just start to simulcast the show on the CBS Sports TV Network

The clone thing and the have-a-take schtick isn't for everyone (or even most), but Rome is one of the best interviewers in the business. He always comes prepared with great questions that are answerable and help the audience to better know the interviewee and the sport.

I just wish he wouldn't follow up in the next segment by saying "Great interview" two or three times. He's trying to praise the interviewee but it always comes off as self-congratulatory.

I can't speak to his character, but Jim Rome is highly regarded by most industry insiders.

However, many believe he would have fared better if he had stuck with syndication.

Perhaps CBS made him a financial offer he couldn't refuse, so who knows for sure?
