Was hoping to see Dixon run Killer's match-up zone on occasion.Very proud of this Killer Frog...
Amazing what a difference a happy coach and happy coach's home life can make. See: SchlossnagleA few things to clean up:
- CJD's former deal was scheduled to go through 2023-2024, with his salary hitting around $3.9-4mm in that final season
- New deal adds four more years to his current deal, continues the annual pay bumps (plus a kicker) and adds additional variable comp boosts and commitments for budget increases, etc.
- It was a priority for TCU and CJD coming into this season to either A) Come up with an extension or B) Think about moving on... Neither wanted coach to go into 2022-2023 with two years left if there weren't clear signs of improvement.
- Good news... CJD and staff did a great job rebuilding and winning, and contract extension talks started in Jan.
Also happy to report, contrary to some previous years, coach is happy and in a good spot right now... Family is good too. After a rough two-year period, things are back heading in the right direction with the program.
We split with WV.Extension? He didn't beat Baylor or West Virginia...obviously changed are needed....S/ at 8/10
Teach me to rely on TV sports news....Channel 11 athletic reporter said TCU has never beaten WV since joining the Big12....So, I guess the extension is merited....Alas, a "time to get rid of" thread won't be getting any traction....We split with WV.

Do we? Where are the monitors? Antagonizing, smearing, demeaning other Frog members. Killerfrogs needs to step up!I assume we get to look forward to hearing from F-I-S-C-U-I-T-S ad nauseum.
Don’t know enough on either to say for sure, just my eyes tells me this was the most balanced staff he’s had in awhile.GSV,
Are we happy with the assistant coaches and are they all staying?
Dang man. Why so angry?Forget the bad calls, every team deals with those. For $4 Mil a year, maybe JD can teach a team to shoot free throws or not throw the ball away...........
I think he’s referring to our season average, which ranked 330th out of 350 D1 teams.Dang man. Why so angry?
The guys shot 73.3% FTs vs Arizona and had less turnovers than they did. The guys also shot 78.6% FTs vs Seton Hall and also had less turnovers than they did. Not the issue.
The real issue vs Arizona was 6-26 from 3 (23.3%) and 26-74 overall FGs (35.1%). Amazing the guys were even in that game with that type of shooting.
Ah gotcha. The forget the bad calls comment made me think he was referring to the tourney.I think he’s referring to our season average, which ranked 330th out of 350 D1 teams.
Nice information. Overall, I'm happy with this. I wish the extension would have been a year or two shorter, but that is more of a quibble.A few things to clean up:
