Circle of Champions

[ShadowFrog]

I recall reading the new statue is not due until Fall. When will the Circle of Champions be completed near DMC?

[TCUdirtbag]

The structure is in. Last I saw (armed forces bowl), there was no mention of any "excellence" or "champions" -- just a brick structure. Looked nice. Nothing to write home about.

Yes, as I recall, it was to be filled with chiseled plates of our TCU champions in all sports.

Rifle and Equestrian will look awesome up there. Does any championship count? Conference, division, tournament, Meet, Spring Game?

[Deep Purple]

It's the Circle of Excellence (not Champions) and it honors Frogs who have shown outstanding leadership and success in any arena, not just sports.

I believe so...beer pong champ is included in the tailgating games category, so anybody has a chance to make it!!

Thanks for the clarification Deep.
Does that Excellence include....Texas Hold'em?

I hope so. If it does, Deep Jr.'s name will be there. In his TCU days, he cleaned out his dorm-mates more than once and relived the financial burden on Mrs. Deep and me.

Whatever happened to the TCU grad who used to post on here, that won a bracelet in the WSoP, or something like that?
