Chances any of our juniors declare for draft?

What are the chances Boyce, Verrett, Maponga, or any others declare for the NFL draft? Really need to bring everyone back to have the 2013 season we all hope to have. I imagine getting CP back would assure Boyce returns, but what if he doesn't...

As much as I love Boyce, he would be the easiest to replace with proven commodities.

After Maponga and Fields, our DE pantry is pretty empty for now.

And after Verrett and White, our CB pantry is pretty unproven for now.

Hopefully they have seen how others who left early have fared. I think all of them would be better served to stay one more year. Maponga ended the season not at 100%, so his stock is probably down because of it. Boyce had an off year (not really an off year, but he could have had a better year under different circumstances) for obvious reasons. Verrett is somewhat of a new entity and is probably a rising stock. I think his stock will rise considerably by having another outstanding year.
So, with that being said, if I was a betting man, I would bet all will stay.

JV didn't get all if the buzz until after the UT game. The media was a bit late to the party. I'm guessing he'd go in the 2nd or 3rd round this year(talking out my [Craig James]). Next year, he'll be getting media love from the beginning. Probably a Thorpe watch list/finalist and could very well move into the early first round.

Hope not, Coach P said Maponga will have surgery after the season, Verrett needs one more stellar year,and Boyce needs one year with a junior or senior QB.

Mapango injured for a couple of games this year so his numbers are down and would benefit another year.
Verrett would be the closest but he bought into what CGP has said and think he stays another year.
Boyce's number down because of QB getting up to speed on passing. He stays to have a stellar year next year.

IMO!

Calvin Johnson played at Georgia Tech where they throw about ten times max a game and that didn't hurt his stock. If the scouts see early round potential in Boyce I'm sure they will tell him causing him to make fat stacks in the pros.

Rumor is Stansley is thinking about it.....I hope that is not the case he really could use another year....hopefully he will take advantage of the scouting service and think long and hard before making a decision

If anyone leaves it seems like Boyce would be the most likely candidate, but I think that will depend on who's QB next year. Didn't catch a single pass against Texas which I'm sure is frustrating for him, and aside from the WVU game he really hasn't been able to show what he's capable of with TB at QB. Verrett I would be most worried about though... I hate to see our defense without him.

Out of the three potential early declaration candidates, I would think Maponga is the one that needs to return the most. He was injured and he only has 3.5 sacks this whole year, and 1 of those was against Grambling so it's not like he has played to his full potential this years. Maponga can do much better than 3.5 sacks.

Rumor? Did you just start it? This is what I hate about these boards. If CGP could shut it down he would in a heartbeat.

I dont see Stansley leaving. I know Field's is a starter, but I see Stansley helping Fields out during the off season, then have the 2 most deadly DE in college tearing it up. If you are on Stansley's twitter, you will also see how hyped he is on being at TCU.

Verrett I think still needs another season to get his stock up. Don't see him going first round.

Boyce is scary in my eyes. I think if CP comes back (I dont know the chemistry between them but) he will stay. If not, it's 50/50.
