I believe committee will say:

Bama, Clemson, ND and OU.

Slight chance tOSU jumps OU. Though ESPN’s playoff predictor (whatever) gives tOSU a 71% chance, and OU just 26%.

No way tOSU does that Purdue loss looks awful and a meh showing against northwestern. Ou did well against Texas, rematch double digit win of only loss with a better resume.

I agree in rankings. Seems like one of the easiest years for top 4. Still wish Georgia and ucf and tosu were in.

The only way I could see that happening is if the BiG committee members pressure the other members to include tOSU. One thing that some overlook is the committee makeup, which is the true wild card.

Committee members, with P5 affiliation, fwiw:

PAC12
-Rob Mullins, Oregon AD
-Paiola Boivin, Arizona St professor & former Arizona Republic journalist.
-Ronnie Lott,

ACC
-Frank Beamer, former Va Tech HC
-Todd Stansbury, Ga Tech AD

B12
-Joe Castligone, OU AD

secsecsec
Bobby Johnson, former Vandy HC
Scott Stricklin, Florida AD

B1G
Gene Smith, tOSU AD

Wild Cards
-Jeff Bower, former Southern Miss HC
-Joe Deromedi, former Central Michigan HC
-Ken Hatfield, former Rice HC

-ESPN advertising department.

Take from this what you will. I, for one, think sitting ADs have absolutely no business being on the CFP committee and casting votes that directly lead to the gain or loss of hundreds of thousands of dollars for their departments.

My thinking, as to who ESPN selects:

Bama, Clemson, ND, tOSU.
