Casper Star-Tribune: Up-tempo Pokes end eight-game losing streak

LARAMIE — Despite a lingering eight-game losing streak, the word ‘winning’ was never part of the conversation. Wyoming’s new attitude, combined with a fresh approach on the court, put that skid to bed.
Amath M’Baye scored a career-high 21 points and Desmar Jackson posted his first double-double for the new up-tempo Cowboys, who ended their drought but sent TCU’s to eight consecutive games with a 77-67 victory on Saturday at the Arena-Auditorium.
It was also the first victory for interim coach Fred Langley, who took over when Heath Schroyer was fired on Monday.
“We’re not really focused on winning so much, we’re just focused on playing as hard as we can,” UW sophomore Daylen Harrison said. “When we play hard, we will win.” ...
