Just slugging % plus your on base %. It's a way to say...do you get on base a bunch AND hit with power.I don't understand that OPS stuff. I do understand that Carp's BA is now .304. Second only to Your Honor's.

It is the number of times you come to bat divided by the number of times you get on base safely (walk, hit, hbp, dropped 3rd strike, fielder's choice) Raw numbers.What is "on base %"? Obviously if you get a hit, you're "on base", so those would be the same numbers. What makes the difference - how many times you walked?
