This is EXACTLY how I feel. The family of the man that die has OBVIOUSLY forgiven him, so I can too. I mean they wanted him to sit with them and ride with them to the funeral. I know there is no excuse for driving drunk, but I have to think the guy that died is just as much to blame as the guy driving.....

Yeah

And I'm not saying he shouldn't be held accountable for his actions, I just don't think we should vilify him as if he intended to hurt someone.

He made a horrible mistake, and I'm sure he feels worse than anyone about it

This isnt about villifying him. Its about a multi-billion $$ industry that millions of young people idolize and look up to making a statement about responsibility. The Cowboys can be supportive of him during what must be a very difficult time. I agree that they should take the lead from Jerry Brown's family and forgive and support. They just shouldnt let him on the sidelines of a nationally televised football game wearing player's street gear. In poor taste and they should be ashamed

Exactly how I feel. Didn't want to say it, but yeah. The guy in the passenger seat knew the risks and was probably more than happy to be in the car. Doesn't excuse the actions, and he should still answer for his actions, but I do feel sympathetic for him. It's just a [ Finebaum ]ty situation

For me, this was about, and between, the deceased's family, and the Cowboys. The tv network be damned - it is not their business. I thought it was rather hypocritical for the half-time guys to call having him on the sideline outrageous when their own network put their camera on him.

As disgusted as I am about the Cowboys, I too found myself glad they won. I GUESS I STILL love this old reactionary state we live in with all its warts. Someday we will return to the Texas of the 30s (without the Depression, I hope) when our liscence plates were purple, when men were men and women 'preciated it, when Slingin' Sam and little Davey reigned and Horns and Ags were green with envy.

I dislike "Who Dat" and Daniel Snyder. Also Da Bears. 49ers are OK under Harbaugh and I think there's something freaky about the Seahawks and Golden Tate. Falcons are bland as grits without butter. I wouldn't be surprised if the Seahawks fought their way to the Super Bowl.

In some ways, Cowboys success would confirm my opinion that the NFL isn't what it used to be at all. The Cowboys have won because all these backups and guys off the street want it more.

Exciting game, very exciting finish. Two crucial sacks on Big Ben on the last Steeler drive in regulation.
Unbelievable INT by a backup DB. All that with 6 defensive starters out. Reminds me of a certain college team outta Ft. Worth.

Suck it Steelfrog!! Jerry Jones thanks you and all your other unwashed Steeler fans who spent money at the stadium.

Plus it's what Brown's mom wants. I nearly got a DWI 6 years ago. Car accident where someone hit me and a cop pulled me over. I was real close to home (less than 500 feet). He asked me if I was drunk and I said yes. Luckily he believed me about the accident and I told him I would have the car towed and have my friend pick me up. He agreed.

I got lucky as crap to not to get an DWI or worse die. I feel terrible for Josh and Jerry's families.

This is my nightmare scenario. I've made it a point to really be careful and drink conservatively when I'm going to be driving, but I'm terrified some idiot is going to rear end me at a stop light or something and I'l blow a .09 and get a DWI and on the hook for the accident.
