Can we go back to C-USA or Big East?

Just saw where SMU is projected to go to Hawaii for their bowl trip. Frogs are scheduled for the Buffalo Wild Wing Bowl - another trip to that dreary AZ city. Yech! On the bright side, maybe we'll find bags of chicken wings on our seats instead of tostitos.

We would probably have won the Big East and gone to BCS this year.

By the way, this is not a serious post - was just having a little hair of the dog this morning and saw where the Ponies are going to Hawaii and Louisville is in the Orange Bowl and thought those 2 sounded sooooo much better than our destination.

Glad it wasn't serious. Because as I reflect upon the just concluded regular season, it DID feel like the old SWC in terms of intensity from our competitor's fan bases. Perhaps because of distance during the WAC, CUSA, MWC....perhaps because we never stayed long enough to develop true rivalries....but this year really did feel like the old SWC where every game felt like a bowl game and the stakes were higher knowing that wins translate into Cotton Bowl berths. The only thing that was missing was Aggies. Not the Texas A&M sort, but just the inbred, love wild farn animals, do ya luv my privvy kind of Aggies.

Anyone who wants to leave is free to go. SMU could certainly use another fan or two.
Hey Top, I just jokin here - inspired by some bad memories of the Fiesta experience. I love the Big 12. Will love it more when we win it next year.

The Big 12 makes more sense from money, fan experience, gameday atmosphere, recruiting, and caliber of competition standpoints. It won't make as much sense in overall program wins, bowl appearances, and national championship opportunities.

Top Frog, Bob is a real good Frog fan, he was just having a little fun and has a good sense of humor. We all need a bunch of humor today, and I know you are a bit touchy after our tough loss yesterday.

I made the trip to Dallas for the TCU vs. Tech game, ,,,.

So how was the Pony Diamond M marching band with spats and brass horns? Were you impressed with the renovations of the Ford Stadium?

If you are referring to SMU's facilities, they are nowhere near as high quality as TCU's. I have been there in the past but this year I only went to Amon G. Carter while I was in Dallas. My last trip to watch an SMU game was a few years back, right after they beat the Frogs in AGC. I am not sure if SMU has renovated since then but their facilities have never been as nice as Texas Christian's.

Kudos to the Frogs for the renovations, just a top notch facility now.
