Cam has rocketed up the ATP tennis rankings by winning back-to-back Challenger tourneys at Stockton and Tiburon and is now at ATP #111, a career high. He has now won three Challenger tourneys since leaving TCU after finishing as the top-rated college player last Spring. He was featured in a Times of London article today entitled "meet the Briton who has climbed 1000 ranking places in two years" (they're apparently not so good at pithy headlines); he debuted at both Wimbledon and the U.S. Open earlier this season; and with Andy Murray's injury, he is now the highest rated (active) Scot, the 5th highest rated Brit, he's on their Davis Cup team and he's shooting for the Top 50. He's "very happy with the way [he's] playing;" he's also doing well in his football (American) fantasy league. And he's thrilled to still receive 1-2 messages per day from the TCU community. This is really a quite stunning rocket up the rankings.

Also, Trevor Johnson made the semis at the Laguna Niguel Futures tourney and now has an ATP ranking for the first time - he and Ali Gray are currently at the Texas Tamale Company Futures tourney in Houston (Gray plays later today). Alex Rybakov, who won a Futures tourney earlier this summer, is also at a career high ATP ranking. And the Frogs have opened their fall season, playing at the Hall of Fame in Newport, as well as at the Battle in the Bay in Berkeley and play this weekend at the Collin County Invitational. The line-up this year will feature Rybo, Guillermo Nunez, Gray, Johnson, Reese Stalder and two newbies - Eduardo Roldan and Alex McNeel.

Yep, Norrie looks like the best college player since Steve Johnson. Hope to see him Top 50 by end of next year (long shot but possible).
