I never want to downplay a sexual assault, but BYU just seems like a place following a retro-1950s code where everyone is supposed to marry before one's hands or genitals touch the same on someone of the opposite sex. I'm sure many female co-eds want to fool around in the backseat with the campus quarterback and maybe things went from kissing to touching or more in the heat of the moment with Jake and the girl. I'm glad it's resolved and hope everyone moves on.
When a kid goes to BYU, one has to be cognizant of the difference between Provo and everywhere else. They have their code and are entitled to it. My experience with Mormons professionally and socially has all been good. I'll take a Mormon over a televangelistic follower or holier-than-thou Baptist any day, every day.
