Buckeye fans were not impressed

I guess we don’t take pictures of the Fiesta, Rose, Sugar, Cotton, or Orange bowls but only to fit the narrative. Maybe this poster is on the “outside” committee that Ohio State hired

From a Buckeye fan....disregard what Yance is posting, he is a troll and the bad apple that makes Ohio State fans look bad thus the reason I called them out previously.

I read the report. You're a bit confused about the results but I'll go ahead and fill you in.

1. A report further came out that he never deleted any text messages.
2. On domestic violence, here is what the Lead Investigator stated at the Press Conference: "Overall, Coach Meyer impressed us with a sincere commitment to the Respect for Women core value that he espouses and tries to instill in his players."
3. On domestic violence, here is what the Investigative Report concluded: "We believe [Coach Meyer], as did Zach Smith, that if [Coach Meyer] ever came to learn or believe that Zach Smith had physically abused his wife, Coach Meyer would have fired Zach Smith or any other coach on the spot."
4.
President Drake at the August 22, 2018 Press Conference: "Based on the independent investigation, I want to state clearly that we believe Urban Meyer did not and does not condone domestic abuse
5. On the suspension, the report clarifies it was due to mismanagement of an employee. The Lead Investigator stated: "The investigation identified multiple other examples of inappropriate conduct by Zach Smith while employed as an assistant football coach, some known by Coach Meyer and/or Gene Smith and others on the football staff. Coach Meyer and Athletic Director Smith's efforts to help Zach Smith overcome his personal issues went too far in allowing him to remain as an employee in the face of repeated misconduct."

So what the report actually states is that although accusations of DV were made, all Police investigations concluded that there was not sufficient evidence to support the claims and therefore no arrests were made; and furthermore, proper protocol was followed. Meyer simply went too far in allowing ZS to remain on staff after repeated misconduct, but that misconduct was separate to the allegations.

Welcome to KillerFrogs, Yance. I completely get the desire to defend your program, as well as your coach. I do. We've had to do it when "reports came out" that we had an enormous drug ring being run campus wide by our entire football team. The cubbies down south of us defend Briles to the death, claiming that "reports of mass sexual assaults on campus by football players" were all made up by their BOR. Duke fans defended their lacross players when that escort claimed she had been sexually assaulted by the team. It's natural to defend something you have such close ties to, and in some cases, you might even be RIGHT to.

But with all due respect, I had a hard time taking your responses seriously. First of all, any official statement by a University used to refute an accusation of harboring and protecting an alleged spouse abuser that begins with, "We believe [Coach] Meyer" rings a little hollow in a lot of people's ears. Like, most of society's ears. And in that last highlighted part, they are essentially admitting that Meyer covered up for him, and in return they are covering up for Meyers. In their minds they are washing their hands of it and not being specific by stating, "multiple other examples of inappropriate conduct by Zach Smith while employed as an assistant football coach, some known by Coach Meyer and/or Gene Smith and others on the football staff...." By giving him a paid suspension, one in which he's allowed to still coach six days out of the week, Ohio State has stated that Urban Meyers has carte blanche to run his program how he sees fit, employing whomever he wants regardless of severe personal flaws that have potentially disastrous influences on 17-22 year-old men entrusted to his care.

Let me give you an example of how ludicrous those "We believe..." statements are: "I believe that Urban Meyers and Ohio State University protected Zach Smith because of his worth to recruiting, and in doing so, placed hundreds of young men under the influence of an emotionally and morally unfit deviant." Hey, I said "I believe," so it must be true, right?

If you can legitimately watch the press conference of Urban Meyers reading that lifeless, prepared statement and claim that he is accepting ANY responsibility whatsoever of his actions regarding keeping Smith on his staff, regardless of his (alleged) criminal activity and (proven) moral bankruptcy, then we'll just have to agree to disagree.

Cheers. I’ll agree to disagree here.

The trolling shall end, it was fun while it lasted. Now let’s play some football!

I know a bunch of great people in Ohio and 95% are solid. But we are going to run into a few dooshers this weekend like I just encountered at Railhead. Loud, obnoxious, cursing loudly like a 6th grader just learning to curse. I’m old but women all around I can’t take it. Wisconsin Lite. But all good and should be fun.

I'm guess owner was not there within ear shot? He generally would address their behaviour. Directly.

A. He's old school and and a former Deputy US Marshal.
B. He bleeds purple.

This game isn't nearly as big as you all have made it. Go look at the forums to get the overall feel from OSU homers like myself -- we're here because we've read some of the comments, however irrational they might be, and think it's hilarious. You all talk a big game but back it up with the:...................
Liberty bowl
Fort Worth Bowl
Texas Bowl
Poinsettia Bowl
and Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl.

Congrats!

TCU puts all the bowls that they have won in the stadium because they are one of only a handful of teams to have won all the NY6 bowls. I'm guessing Ohio st has also but still its pretty good company, and a collect 'em all sort of display of bowl wins. Pretty cool.

Owner of Railhead is Charlie Geren, current state representative from Fort Worth. Don’t see anything about Deputy US Marshal in his bio though. But the place was loud, they couldn’t be heard everywhere, We were just lucky enough to be sitting next to them.

Talking smack about TCU to TCU fans or just amongst eachother? I would expect a little back-and-forth, wouldn't you? Obviously, keep it cordial and in good fun!

Yeah. Charlie was a Deputy quite a few years back. His family has considerable public service.

Feel for you, having to sit next to that.

We love that place.

No nothing between fans, just their own rude behavior. But we have some of those too.

TBH, I saw this on twitter and found it funny. Given the context, that is pretty cool! I appreciate the history at any school!
