Baylor coach Art Briles has agreed to a new long-term deal, a school source told ESPN's Joe Schad on Tuesday. Briles was a strong candidate for the opening at Arkansas.


Nuts. Was really hoping that scum would leave for Arkansas. I guess that's why the Gundy-to-Arky talk is now heating up.

He has made Baylor relevant. It looks like they have their coach for the future. I doubt Gundy jumps either. Arkansas needs to be looking at lower level conferences to find their guy.

I'm torn about this. On the one hand, I want Baylor to shrivel up and die, on the other I want us to have a strong and meaningful rivalry with them. Losing Briles would make beating them less fun. Beating Briles and watching them squad afterwards = more fun.
