Interesting stuff here. Boykin interviewed Seals and talks about Hoover.

Full interview on YouTube.

Holy crap!
Saying that Hoov didn't seem to feel that the way the coaching and admin was going (direction) that he didn't feel it was going towards what Hoov wanted ... that being taking the team to a Big 12 Champ game.
And the part about Briles after a game. Geez.

Just the first clip alone. Yikes.

That coming from a guy who has a penchant for making ill-timed, boneheaded mistakes is interesting.

The whole coversation out side the bus part. Kudos to Sonny for being a bit cut throat.

His comments on the Carter Boys this week (to the team during bowl prep) were pretty bold. Basically, a google the qb's I coached that are in the pros -- I'm gonna be just fine picking a qb for the bowl, type moment.

At the same time, not a great sign when QB1 supposedly (if third party comment is accurate) didn't have too much faith in what was going on in ways of getting to a conf champ game next year.

or, this kid just wanted more money.

So lemme see if I got this straight. After the BYU game, Briles' hot seat basically was on fire. Hoover did not like the direction the offense would be going post-Briles. Do I understand Seals correctly?

Probably the latter, and given this QB1s seeming cluelessness at times when it came to score/time situations, I'm not sure his opinion of what needs to get done in order to get over the hump should hold much water.

He didn't like Briles leaving so he wet his pants and left.

I'm still just kinda stunned by his decision on that one 3rd and relatively short this season where he just had to tuck and slide easy, and then tried to push it 25 yards up field.
Perfect summary.

That one is easy to remember, but there were many, many times where I would just be like what is this kid thinking, does he not pay any attention to the situation the team is in? He would totally whiff on some really elementary game management 101 stuff. The fumble against Baylor when he was barely touched when literally the ONLY thing you had to do in that situation to seal the game is go the ground and not fumble was another dandy.

and I sat through several worthless lightning delays to watch that disaster unfold.
