LOL.

Yeah, like there aren't any media blowhards out there that have seen and played just as much football as Rick Neuheisel that would disagree with him. I don't think he's seen or played a more than Kirk Herbstreit has but that hasn't kept people from claiming he's no authority on the game.
That statement is beyond laughable.
You’re actually Russian bot, aren’t you.

You go girl!

If Duke defeats Virginia and #25 James Madison wins the Sun Belt, then the ACC does not have an automatic way into the CFP. The ranked Sun Belt and American Athletic Conference champs are in. Duke isn’t ranked and won’t be, even with a win over Virginia.

The committee could then finagle reasoning to bump up Miami as the lone ACC rep, but will face harsh criticism since they now have ND and BYU ranked ahead of Miami. Otherwise, the ACC would be out of the playoff.

Maybe you have already covered that here and I suspect a Duke win at the expense of an ACC entry is what you all are rooting for.

Toss out the Arizonas and Utah since they're not in our pool. I'm going to assume Tech beats BYU again and only Tech makes the playoffs from the Big XII. Iowa State holds a tiebreaker over us. That means we're in line for the 4th bowl in our pool, which is the Liberty Bowl in Memphis.
If BYU upsets Tech and they're both in the playoffs, then we bump up to the Texas Bowl in Houston.
That's how I read it. Go BYU!
It looks like all 3 bowl eligible ”old PAC” teams will go with their old PAC 12 bowl alliances, which will greatly help TCU.

Maybe:
Arizona State - Sun Bowl
Utah - Las Vegas Bowl
Arizona - Holiday Bowl

Seems like that could put TCU in Houston @ the Texas Bowl.

6 - 6.

Coaching turmoil.

Don’t want to be butt-plugged by an ambitious G5 team.

ED: Seriously, coaching turmoil + open portal + (relatively) high profile game could be an utter gutting of a football program.
That's a shame that it unraveled this way. I'm sure they must be chomping at the bit to hire Klein and start a new era with him.
