Giggle. We didn't even win our conference championship! Alabama didn't either, but they played in the best conference and lost two games by a total of 4 points, one to the #6 team, and the other to (at the time) #10 LSU, both on road. We had all those close call wins against so-so teams, etc etc. It wouldn't have been that hard, right? But yet they had us as the #3 seed. Not even #4, where we would've had to play Georgia in the semi-final.
That'll preach....I don't understand why people are still taking this "Playoff" nonsense seriously. It's not something that's an institution, or a dispassionate weighing of fact, it's Reality TV, put on by Disney/ABC/ESPN.
Disney/ABC/ESPN controls what the outcome will be in all cases. They own the whole thing, and control all aspects of it. This silliness of "The Committee" is ridiculous: They do what they're told, and they get paid well to do so. What makes anyone think that a bunch of spares make decisions which will have massive ratings and advertising effects, with literally billions of dollars at stake? Those dopey weekly ratings presentations form the basis of ESPN content for the following week, with their paid lackeys flapping their gums all over their platforms with pre-set talking points. It's scripted. It's a joke.
Want to know who gets in? The Programs with the best name recognition/ratings potential. All other considerations are secondary at best. Money is king.
Nothing else matters.
I gotta get a better quality soapbox. There's a splinter in my foot...That'll preach....
You got the point.I gotta get a better quality soapbox. There's a splinter in my foot...
about a .595 win average.I'm ready to go to 24 like the B1G wants!
What would Mike Leach do?
you're helpless. just stick it in the outlet kid, we tried to show ya better. So no mention of scoring margins? Doesn’t that kind of matter when one loss is by 25 and another is by 1?
I agree. If there is any team getting more screwed than Miami, I can’t think of it. The stupid ACC screwed them out of playing in a CCG, and likely they won’t make the playoff the way the system works.SOOO, Rick Neuheisel on bagging on the CFP today. Pointed out how its about big brands. Also said Notre Dame should not be ranked above Miami.

dude has seen and played and coached more football than you ever won't. he knows more about football then you could hope to.Oh, Rick Neuheisel said so? Well, that settles it.
I've been waiting with baited breath to hear his thoughts.
It helps to have two teams with large alumni bases that haven't really been relevant in forever. There are tons of Tech fans here that have been waiting for this for, well, just about forever.but ... but ... without horns and sooners we're doomed ... blah, blah, blah.
Congrats to the Red Raiders and Cougars.

cling to those computers.
ok, there, chess club.LOL.
Yeah, like there aren't any media blowhards out there that have seen and played just as much football as Rick Neuheisel that would disagree with him.
