They play an extra game against the 2nd best team in their conference? What's NDs most impressive win??
Not sure what your point is about the extra game. There’s 12 teams now, if there were four, or even 8, ND would have zero chance. Their best win is USC, everyone knows that.

Just saying, pencil in a loss for Tech Saturday and do this same exercise with them. Does it look like a playoff resume?

ND doesn’t t have one outcome this year where you’d really question their quality. Maybe the BC game but they still won by 15 points. There are only a few other teams that can say that. Everyone hates ND so they have to do everything they can to discredit them, I get it. I know this, if we were 10-2 and had lost two games to Top 12 teams by 3 points, we’d all be saying we should be in for sure.

Ok, Coug.

You’re played one Top 5 team this year and got blown out. Here’s your chance.
#6 ESPN FPI SOR. Played tough schedule. Destroyed TCU in a fashion BYU has not done since 2006. Won 5 road games. 6 wins over teams 7-4 or better. 6 bowl eligible wins (tied for 2nd with Indy & Oregon, only behind Ohio St who has 7), more than GA (4), Miss (4), A&M (5), OU (5), ND (5), Bama (5), etc.
A 11-1 P4 team should be in the CFP over any 2-loss at large team.

You’ll get your chance to prove how good you are. Starting Saturday.

Paragraph 1 argues that two 1-loss teams, one of which beat the other, should have been in instead of an undefeated team.

Paragraph 3 argues that wins and losses and head to head are what matters.

Which is it?

but nice dodge, cfp homer
You forgot paragraph 2, which seems to compliment his car, likely a Challenger, if I were guessing. Yet he also misidentifies him as either a certified financial planner or the author of The Iliad and The Odyssey…or both.

What was our signature win in 2014?
Beating Ole Miss by 40.

Texas Tech could be walking into a great draw. If they win and Georgia wins, looking like the 3 seed, depending how close the Big 10 game is. That would be a first round bye and then the winner of Virginia (or even Tulane/University of North Texas) and Lane Kiffin-less Ole Miss.

Houston is overrated.
Very.

Similar to us last year, except they won one more game. They also played a crap OOC whereas we played a CFP team. We weren't even close to being ranked last year, and here they are at #21. LOL.

Houston is the most overrated team in the Top 25 IMO, and Virginia isn't far behind. Virginia lost to two pretty pedestrian teams, hasn't really beaten anyone that you'd call good, and barely beat UNC and Washington State.

I hope Tech gets all the way to the final game at least. (Obviously, I hope BYU does as well, but if Coogs get in, that would mean Tech does not get the BYE). Would love that the next team from the Lone Start state to make it to the final is not UT. That would drive the hippies nuts. "Texas is Big 12 Country"

I'm shocked that UofH was in there. Also shocked that Iowa is in the top 25.

So UNLV is in their conf champ game this weekend. If they win, they go 11-2. That includes wins over Miami Ohio (who is in their conf champ game this week) and UCLA (meh). But it would also be avenging a loss this season to Boise State, who they play again in the champ game.

SO ... what if Duke wins this weekend ...

Either way, Dan Mullen aint gonna be at UNLV too much longer ... unless he just wants to be there. He does seem to really be enjoying the job there. He mentioned this morning that even with the portal stuff, they are getting to develop players (which is needed) and he seems to really be happy about that. (Obviously, getting to do what a coach should do)

Even if Ohio State and Georgia lose this weekend, the best draws are going to be the ones where you can avoid Ohio State and Georgia for the longest. Not sure they are quite as strong as they've been in some years, but those are still the two teams that are strongest week in week out, and with the highest potential.

And maybe I see things that others don't and will be proven wrong, but I think Notre Dame is right behind them.
