If Mendoza’s brother is still there, after Hoover’s first bad game the fans are going to be wanting a change so I hope JH is ready for that.
I think many want to see the younger brother play regardless. If he’s anywhere as good as his brother he’ll get his shot. Josh is stepping into a much more pressure filled position than at TCU.

Interesting Note: Alberto Mendoza is originally an Indiana recruit and was there a season before Fernando transferred in. Also Fernando was an FCS recruit until Cal offered him late in the game. Basically, scouting is a dart throw.

Easy to see why, trying to determine what a 17 year old will be when he is 21 or 22 is hard, and some guys just grow up at different times.

Indiana is cleaning up with recruits in this high school all American game by Navy. Whether they’ll ever play there or for how long they’ll stay is one thing but they are certainly building on their momentum.

Wish we would have done something similar.

McElroy was one of my favorites to cover at Southlake Carroll.
For two years, he backed up Chase Daniel and he was always smiling and just happy to be out playing football.
He finally got to start as a senior and led the Dragons to a state title and an undefeated season. That season, he threw 4,636 yards and 56 touchdowns.
Did something happen between TCU and McElroy during recruiting (before Bama started on him)? I seem to recall something from way back. We didn’t offer early, and he was bitter, even though he ended up at Bama?

He’s always held a grudge. If you’d listened to him when he was on SiriusXM radio every day back in mid 2010s, it was noticeable. Could just have been he became an arrogant SEC homer.

Injuries and a Flu bug giving the Miami lockerroom a lot of trouble right now. Hopefully they are past the flu in days. But some big question marks for the secondary. Without the two stars (IF they don't make it back), they could be stuck in zone quite a bit.
