The Big 12 had 4 compelling games on the last weekend versus one for the SEC, PAC, etc. The extra money split 12 ways (assuming we have to add 2 teams to have it) is chump change. I like having to play everyone. It is unique.
Now we need everyone in the conference to step up and play at least one meaningful OOC game for conference respect. We (conf) got bagged on pretty good for our OOC and the Bowl results will just reinforce it heading into next year. If the Conf is really as good or better than the SEC as many here suggest, we shouldn't fear playing top ACC and B1g teams OOC.
7-5 wisconsin ruins another bowl - thank you Conference Championship Game.
Also, you run the risk of an undefeated conference champion getting knocked out of the BCS championship game by a four loss also ran.
So you like 7-5 teams in major bowls? Because that is what happens with CCGs.Yes it was Wisconsin's fault OSU and PSU are on probation. And the Rose Bowl was soooo boring.
[sub]I sure hope that the application for a championship game is because we have explored Clemson and Fla. St. as expansion partners and that they have said no. Best case would be the added revenue of the Big XII Champ Game and stay at 10. Not sure of the revenue numbers per conference, but one would think this would put us right behind the Big 10 in revenue per team. [/sub]
If everyone plays each other what's the point of a CCG?
