Big Daddy

For those of you that knew Royce Huffman and have not heard - we lost "Big Daddy" this week.

Royce was one of the greatest Frogs that has ever graced our campus and our lives.

He was a joyous character in every positive sense of the word and truly never met a stranger.

He started a legacy at TCU that continued with two of his sons and all of his boys were great athletes through college and beyond.

I was lucky enough to call Royce a friend and I know that like many at TCU - will miss him in my life and especially at tailgates before games.

We will always have the greatness of Royce to remember:

Saw that we had lost him on a Facebook post. He was always nice to me and was a friend of my father's back when Royce was playing at TCU.

Royce was one of the coolest guys in the stadium. His boys were legit studs. Lots of fun back in the “building days” of the baseball program around him. Always standing up at his perch overlooking third base…couldn’t sit down…had to be moving around a little all the time. The program felt like a family during that era and he was one of the most active members of that family. Prayers for his family!
