His update is out and matches what is mentioned above. TCU projected to edge Duke for last 2 seed. Slated for Birmingham regional with Duke and South Carolina. Teams projected to visit Fort Worth for first weekend include Vandy (7), Indiana (10), and SE Louisiana (15). Sounds about right, although the 7 could also be Louisville and the 10 Oregon (good media angle with HCMC history).

Stupid. Duke beat NC State as we did. Why is NC State still a 2 seed? We should have passed them also, instead we're projected to be in South Carolina's bracket.

Yeah, the committee may look again at that after today's results. NC State has a stronger SOS but twice the losses that TCU does, their NET ranking is south of 15, they didn't win the conference tournament and only shared the regular-season title, and Notre Dame is now just another good team that TCU also beat. NC State's next-best wins are UNC & Duke, but they also lost to both. They're 8-6 in Quad 1, where TCU is 8-3.

I wouldn't want to be in the room arguing for NC State given all that plus a head-to-head loss to the Frogs.

Haley Van Lith has the highest Basketball IQ we have ever had. She can take over a game. She has a desire to win that drives her to greatness. Remember the layup with less than 2 minutes that took the lead to 4. My opinion only - she is the best WBB player TCU has ever had and most likely will ever have. And we only had her for one season. I just hope she wears the TCU uniform for her NCAA Hall of Fame picture.
Agreed on HVL's basketball IQ and drive. And today's players are a lot better than players from two decades ago.

But it's still hard not to count Sandora Irvin as the all-time best in purple and white. Two-time All American, NCAA career leader in blocks at the time, averaged a double-double (15/11) over 127 career games. Third pick in the WNBA draft.

But as you said--my opinion only.

Prince and Van Lith get all the well-deserved accolades, but Hunter is who I enjoy watching play. Keeps her cool and is a great defensive player.
Agreed. And she’s just a sophomore. So this is great experience for her moving forward that hopefully we can build around next year. Really she’s the only underclass player on rotation.

ESPN piece this a.m. discussed which teams outside of the top 6 have a chance to make a run in the tournament. TCU was mentioned but largely discounted, with one writer saying, "The Frogs are also a group mostly lacking NCAA tournament experience."

Please. Among TCU's 7 main rotation players, all have been to the Sweet 16. Six have played in the Elite Eight (3 of them last season). In four seasons, Hailey Van Lith has never not been to the Elite Eight. Three Frogs have been to the Final Four; two to a national title game; and one (Emma-Nnopu) has a ring.

That's somewhere in the neighborhood of 50 games of NCAA tournament experience. Do a little research, please.

scheiss 'em. Let them keep overlooking us and disrespecting us. Will just make each win in the tournament that much sweeter. Hope the ladies play with a chip on their shoulders and go out there to prove a point.

I read the same line and had the exact same thought. We actually have some of the best ncaa experience in the field. But hey as a school we haven’t been, so it must obviously be true that our players don’t have the experience Right?

the problem of being a new kid on the block from a program perspective is that you are deemed unworthy until proving over and over again that you are worthy. Same growing pains both our football team and baseball teams went thru the last couple of decades. Nice problem to have for our WBB team I guess
