Big 12 Tournament

bmoney214

OUCH!!!
Fun question for future tournaments (since we're moving outside): what if BYU makes the Saturday championship game and it gets rained out. Do they forfeit the Sunday make-up game, is it a tie, something else?
The make-up game probably gets pushed to Monday.

Well that Houston win was the worst possible result for the Frogs.
Frogs need to get out to a big lead as quick as possible.
Are you saying that because of the lower quality of opponent related to NCAA seeding, the fact that they didn't use Antoine Jean, something else?

Houston is basically a really below average baseball team outside of 1 scenario - if they manage to find a way to have the lead in the late innings and can bring in Jean - they have a national seed level win rate. The Frogs can't be behind in the 8th or 9th because not only does Jean have a sub .170 batting average against him, I think he is averaging almost half his outs via SO and has an unhittable curve ball.

Anybody who saw Houston winning as a worst case scenario for TCU is nuts. Yes I would have preferred Jean to have the toss 2 innings last night so he was limited or burned for today. But if we can’t beat a team like Houston w our ace on the bump in may, then we don’t need to worry about the NCAAs.

kstsate has dudes and can play at a high level. So no l didn’t mind Houston winning last night at all

agree - they were 12-17 in a conference play in a very average at best B12 this year. TCU should be able to control this game enough that Rivera could be in their pen and it wouldn't matter. This game should be over before we get to closer scenario and frankly I would hope TCU's comes out guns blazing to the point of where Houston has to bring in Jean in the 4th inning to try and stop the bleeding, not have a scenario where he is used in the 9th unless it is just to give him a final appearance as a Cougar.

But then - this team has been known to play down to their competition on occasion....

I think Houston will bring in Jean in sixth no matter the score. He pitched 4.1 against the Frogs in the Friday game in Houston.
