SALT LAKE CITY -- — Noah Fifita threw for 197 yards and two touchdowns and Arizona’s defense stopped No. 10 Utah four times on fourth down to help the Wildcats beat the Utes 23-10 on Saturday night.The Wildcats never let the pressure get to them, even when the Utes made it a one-score game and had the sellout crowd behind them.
“This is a special win,” Arizona coach Brent Brennan said. “There's so much pressure to perform ... but they all started playing this game of football because it's fun. .. and, boy, did we have fun tonight.”

Rocco Becht, Abu Sama III lead No. 18 Iowa State past Houston, 20-0
HOUSTON — Rocco Becht threw for 153 yards and a touchdown, Abu Sama III ran for 101 yards and a touchdown and No. 18 Iowa State beat Houston 20-0 on Saturday night.Iowa State (4-0, 1-0 Big 12) improved to 4-0 for the first time since 2000, with coach Matt Campbell becoming the school victory leader with 57.
“I feel like culturally we are in a really positive spot,” Campbell said. “I think how we play the game of football has been enjoyable to be a part of, to be quite honest with you, and the leadership from this team … has been the ability to come every day and have real competitive endurance. The ability to keep getting better and growing.”

Avery Johnson's 5 total TDs lead No. 23 Kansas State past No. 20 Oklahoma State, 42-20
MANHATTAN, Kan. — Avery Johnson passed for three touchdowns and ran for two as No. 23 Kansas State routed No. 20 Oklahoma State 42-20 Saturday.The Wildcats were motivated after a 38-9 loss at BYU the previous week.
“It was (because of) how poorly we played last week,” Johnson said . “We just wanted to come out and play free and play our game. We know what we put on tape last week wasn't us. A big focus was to not let any pressure or any of that stuff get to me this week. It was a really good feeling.”

No. 22 BYU needs a late pick to secure a 34-28 win at Baylor and stay undefeated
WACO, Texas — BYU safety Crew Wakley saw the ball once it was thrown into the air, even if he couldn't really see the Baylor quarterback. The 22nd-ranked Cougars were still undefeated after he went up and caught it."Shoutout to the D-line, they were all up in his face,” Wakley said. “It’s like a flyball. ... I knew as soon as it left his hand. I was like, I’ve got this, got to go make that play.”
Wakley's leaping interception, near midfield right in front of the Baylor bench with 59 seconds left, finally clinched a 34-28 victory on Saturday. The Cougars never trailed but had to hold on after twice building three-touchdown leads before halftime when Jake Retzlaff threw for two scores and ran for another one.

Shedeur Sanders throws for 290 yards, 3 TDs to lead improved Colorado to 48-21 rout of UCF
ORLANDO, Fla. — Shedeur Sanders threw for 290 yards and three touchdowns Saturday to help improved Colorado match its victory total for all of last season with a 48-21 rout of UCF.Two-way star Travis Hunter had a TD catch and interception for the Buffaloes (4-1, 2-0 Big 12), who have won three straight games following a lopsided road loss to Nebraska.
Sanders emerged as one of the nation's top quarterbacks a year ago after his father, coach Deion Sanders, took over a struggling program and took Shadeur and Hunter with him to Colorado. The Buffaloes wound up going 4-8 but have progressed steadily after a slow start to this season.

Brooks runs for 172 yards and 2 TDs, Texas Tech wins 44-41 when Cincinnati misses FG on final play
LUBBOCK, Texas — Tahj Brooks ran for 172 yards while scoring the tying and go-ahead touchdowns, Behren Morton threw two TDs to Coy Eakin and Texas Tech held on to beat Cincinnati 44-41 on Saturday night when the Bearcats missed a 51-yard field goal attempt on the game's final play."There were so many highs and lows in this game, and they just kept fighting,” Tech coach Joey McGuire said of his team.
Nathan Hawks’ game-ending kick was wide right after Cincinnati (3-2, 1-1 Big 12) had gone 58 yards from their own 10 after the Red Raiders’ only punt came right after the two-minute timeout.
