Went to bed around 5:00AM, woke up at 11:00, went to Whataburger at 12:30 for lunch

Got the Whatasized #2 (double meat burger), substituted a chocolate shake for the drink. Still working on the shake.

Pretty sure I out-Whataburgered everyone else at the restaurant

Just got in from cutting about a half a cord of mesquite from a tree that was hit by lightning a while back. It's chilly out, but it sure got me sweating!

Biggest surprise has to be KANSAS who has now passed TCU, TTECH, KSU, and IOWA ST in recruiting after being dead last in Big 12 for past umpteen years.

BAYLORs dramatic rise is the next biggest surprise.

Get ready for yet another BAYLOR surprise.
BILLINGS now a very heavy BAYLOR lean after BAYLORs big win in their bowl game (against a tougher opponent than Tcu had) and Tcu's rather embarrassing showing in their bowl game. Not slamming Tcu at all - just telling you what the kid himself is telling his buddies.

BILLINGS NEW CHOICE LIST (in order of where they now stand with him)

1) BAYLOR
2) TEXAS
3) he is now considering two other schools as his #3 but they are not likely
4) TCU is now choice 4 after the very poor bowl game results and loss of Asst Coaches, but BILLINGS says he will still honor his visit.........for now.

Chopping wood with an ax is about the most tiring thing ever. It can be 40 degrees outside and I'll have to strip down to a t-shirt within about 2 minutes.

And even if you have a chainsaw, it's surprisingly tiring.

Actually, TCU is now ranked third in the Big 12 if you drill down in the numbers a bit. The Rivals ranking you show is by the total number of points each school has been awarded, using their points accrual system, for all of their committed recruits, so the more commitments you have, the more points you accumulate (quantity!) but if you look at the average number of points awarded per commitment (quality!), TCU's average is behind only UT and OU! Up until a month ago, we were also behind Oklahoma State but our last addition (Hicks) allowed us to jump them!

Not agreeing with the OP, but your post is just lain stupid.

At least the OP posted factual ranks.

Your post is your opinion of how you think rankings should be after you spin them in TCUs favor.

Kind of silly of you but whatever.

We will all be optimistic that rankings for Frogs will improve somewhat in next few weeks before signing day biut past history doesn't support last minute divine recruiting miracles.

My guess is that unfortunately these rankings will be the final results at signing day with only a very few minor changes.

In high school, I worked in a lime plant with guys who chopped cedar on the side, and they were some of the most country-strong dudes I've ever seen. I saw one of them swing a 16 lb sledgehammer over his head for about 3 minutes straight. Funny aside - that same guy loved balogna sandwiches and called it "flat weenie."

Isn't that what Maniac calls it?

Anyway, I used to deliver office furniture in summers, and one of the other guys played DT for tech. They called him Five-Sandwich, because he ate five bologna sandwiches every day for lunch.

Uh--moron here would be you. His post is dead on. Only way to accurately judge a recruiting class is average stars per recruit--and that's if you buy into the starsies thing, which, as it turns out, is no predictor of future success. Unless (and it wouldn't surprise me at all, judging from fron your original response) you believe that: reccruiting 3 two star prospects is better than landing 1 five star.

I think it's Oscar Meyer; I am informed that one of the high-volume producers of lunch meats in the U.S., literally makes weenies and bologna out of the same stuff. It's just in different casings.

And there's an editorial cartoon in the American-Statesman this morning that bluntly says that a McDonald's "McRibb" is made out of hogs' stomach linings. No wonder they are inexpensive.

Read something completely useless that was authored by a complete moron today.

Actually, you are waaaay off base and wrong as you can.be !

Everyone on this board preaches constantly
that stars don't matter. Now (according to you) so you can make a dumb argument they now magically stars are extremely crucial. Just so you can try to prove you know more than RIVALS. Dumb dumb dumb.

On the one hand you say it is so much better for Tcu to get a collection of 3 star receuits and "coach them up" and that is far preferable to getting the 4 star elite players that UT gets.

Then when it suits your spin, you say only the number of stars count (on average).
