The US has been living in an entitlement mentality society for at least 30 years. With what TCU Football has accomplished over the last 20 years+ and TCU Football's recruiting rankings over the last half decade, the TCU fanbase is entitled to better.

No, 7th. Tech, BYU, Utah, both Arizona schools and Houston were all 6-3 or better. We were tied at 5-4 with K state, Iowa State and Cincy.

By conference record Tech and BYU tied for first, Utah alone in second place. Then you have the 6-3 teams tied for third and the 5-4 teams in fourth. Minus head to head, just based on conference record.

So the only ties that mattered were the 5-4 teams. Which team finished second in conference? Fourth? Fifth? Sixth?
Remember this? A five-way tie for conference champions after Ags were ruled out ineligible.

ummm.....Utah was 3rd, Houston, Arizona and ASU tied for 4th and thus were 4,5 and 6 in whatever tie breaker order you want that no one cares about - that is how a tie works....
We were tied for 7th....I think that is a yellow ribbon? maybe pink?
I love all the "we were 2 plays from being 10-2" comments - we were also an average High School level kicker for Houston and one less bad decision by either Baylor or WVU's QB away from being 6-6 using that logic....

Not sure I understand your point. This season, Tech and BYU tied for first at 8-1, Utah was alone in third at 7-2, Arizona, Arizona State and Houston tied for fourth at 6-3, and we tied for seventh with Kansas State, Iowa Stats and Cincinnati at 5-4. That’s pretty straightforward stuff.
Are you suggesting that Utah finished in second place, Arizona, Arizona State and Houston finished in third and we finished in fourth?

Yeah, a ton of our leadership is talking up the last two wins, how it is propelling us into next year, how we are going to get a "great opponent" in the bowl despite having no idea which bowl we are going to...I got the pleasure of spending several really valuable minutes of my life I can't get back being told all these things and how the future was bright from 3 of our University and Athletic Dept leaders.
I told my wife to check if they were using her lipstick on the pig...
Again, nobody is "celebrating" anything. Show me some comments from Gary after seasons where we were headed to the Texas, BWW., Liberty or Cheez-It Bowls where he is [ Finebaum ]ting all over the state of the program and throwing his team under the bus for having a crappy season. He used to always say how the first goal of any of his teams was to get to six wins and make a bowl game. "Win by one point". And show me a comment from him or any of the Athletic Dept back then where they were not complimentary of our bowl opponent. or the bowl we were playing in. It's coachspeak, it's called being respectful to the people within the program and your opponent, and it's fine. It's what you are supposed to do.
I sure don't know everything, but I know you're an ass. 100% of your posts on here are either ripping the coach and program, giving sarcastic backhanded compliments, or talking about how much better things were under GP. 100% of them. Yes, because A&M was ruled ineligible, it was technically a 5-way tie for 1st. Houston was 6th and SMU was 7th.
This is pretty basic stuff, it's how they've slotted teams forever.

KISS - keep it short and simple - one is in 7th place because 6 teams finished better than you. If you are in 4th place, it is because only 3 teams finished better than you.

It is not Dykes pushing sunshine - its our administration to boosters - the ones they are asking for money.
The issue is our Admin has zero plans to make any changes - and is acting like mediocrity is success. And sorry, they are 100% pushing this year as really successful to people that have paid for real results, not this.
And they are getting the same reaction I gave them - I am not giving you any more for this....8-4, 7th place in a year where as many as 4 Texas teams make they CFP and we can't even make the CCG. It makes it even worse when our leadership thinks this year was great.
They continue to alienate the people that have the only chance of helping us get back to being relevant - which we are not even close to now.
For your information - I, like a bunch of others, had a lot of conversations with CDC and VBo in years where we didn't get into a bowl or went to the BWW, Poptart, Autozone rebuilt distributor bowls about this not being good enough. They were in agreement and honest about the plan to return to greatness even when they were saying other things at press conferences and interviews - not pushing those years as success.
So you can continue your dumbass myopic focus that this has anything to do with Gary - your opinion is irrelevant because you know nothing or no one evidently. It is about Sonny and what he is going to do to not be in the shadow of Tech, BYU, SMU and now North Texas. But no one in the room this weekend has any belief that Dykes has as a clue how to turn it around - and it shows in our "giving"

This is not about seeding. It is based on records. Notice in standings chart Cinci is listed ahead of us. Obviously if seeding for a tournament you would have a different stack.
