UCF offensive line coach Shawn Clark died unexpectedly Sunday evening, nearly two weeks after suffering a "medical emergency," the university announced. Clark, who turned 50 in August, joined Scott Frost's staff with the Knights during the offseason after a five-year stint as Appalachian State's coach.

Clark suffered the medical emergency earlier this month during UCF's bye week on Sept. 9 and remained hospitalized in stable condition.

"Shawn was so much more than a coach. He was a remarkable man, husband, and father who cared deeply about his players and staff," said UCF coach Scott Frost in a statement. "The reaction of our players and coaches to the news this morning is a testament to Shawn's character and the impact he had on every life that he touched. He was loved. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Jonelle, and children, Giana and Braxton. We are here to support them and will continue to keep them in our hearts and prayers."

Looks like 3-0 UCF lost their starting QB maybe for a while. Non-throwing shoulder. Probably separated. They are playing 1-3 KState.

It sucks that with 1 loss you feel like you are a middle of the pack team in the conference! Need ASU to lose twice or something else to happen to really have a shot at the playoff. Even worse is knowing that a 2 or 3 loss SEC/BigTen or some random over-hyped independent might get in when we only have 1 loss on the road to ASU.

The SEC is the most over-hyped league! It's the SunBelt buoyed by a few great teams with PT Finebaum as its hype man!

The Big 12 football schedule is full of intriguing games each week of the 2025 college football season.

The college football Week 6 schedule is certainly no exception.

Who do Big 12 teams play in Week 6 of the season? Take a look at the complete Big 12 football Week 6 schedule, which includes West Virginia at BYU, Kansas State at Baylor, Colorado at TCU, Kansas at UCF and Oklahoma State at Arizona.

I know our coaching staff is inept, our defense can't stop anyone and our OC sucks, and we don't have any P4 O-lineman, but here are the records of all Big 12 schools since our current head coach took over....

1. TCU (31-14)
2. KSU (30-16)
3. BYU (29-14)
4. TTU (28-16)
5. Utah (28-17)
6. ISU (27-18)
7. KU (24-20)
8. UA (23-19)
9. WVU (22-22)
9. UCF (22-22)
11. Cincy (21-21)
12. BU (21-23)
12. OSU (21-23)
14. UH (20-22)
15. ASU (19-22)
16. UC (16-27)

It's nice to see TCU on top, but remember, 2022's 11-2 record, as glorious a season that we experienced, is basically an aberration....

So were 2014 and 2015 then I guess.

I mean, I didn't know we were cherry picking but if you take those two seasons and '22 off the record, we're basically a .500 team. And 42-50 in Big 12 play. And that accounts for about 80% of the football being played since we've been in the B12.

And yet fans act like we should fire our coach every time we lose a game. It's just nuts. The guy literally has the best record in the conference since he's been a TCU coach and he is one loss away from about half the fan base wanting him gone and two losses from about 75% of them wanting him gone.

FWIW, take away that “aberration” year and it looks like this:

BYU 21-9 (.700)
Iowa State 23-10 (.697)
Tech 20-11 (.645)
K State 20-12 (.625)
TCU 18-12 (.600)
AZ 18-12 (.600)
AZ state 18-13 (.581)
Kansas 18-13 (.581)
Utah 17-13 (.567)
WV 17-15 (.531)
Baylor 15-16 (.484)
Colorado 15-16 (.484)
OK state 14-17 (.452)
UCF 13-17 (.433)
UH 12-17 (.414)
Cincy 12-17 (.414)
