you still don't get it, so let me break it down for you. Recruiting Texas kids is much more possible when you play in Texas. So of course going to a non-Texas conference doesn't have the same effect on TCU/A&M as it does on Arkansas/Mizzou. Make sense yet?

I really didn't think I needed to explain that post, but I guess you did go to Tech. Getting stuck with CU is one thing. Getting stuck with just Tech and CU is another (much worse) thing.

they invited them thinking there would be others. I don't think anyone thought the Pac10 would invite them just to get them.

I went to TCU and am a TCU fan.

I agree. The Pac-10 might of wanted and still wants Colorado but I think they added them to avoid a Baylor fiasco cause they thought they could get the other 5 Big XII schools. If the Pac-10 knew then what they know now, I think they would have waited to add them. They could have got Colorado at any point, nobody else really wanted them besides the Mountain West.

it wasn't regardless of. It was in preparation for.

There is a huge difference between arrogance and stupidity, it is just more difficult to tell when you are talking to a Tech fan.

Yeah, there are links for EVEYRYTHING that has happened in conference realignment and if you don't have a link you don't know what you are talking about. What did people ask for as proof before the internet? Did you have to carry around a newspaper or magazine with every fact you brought up?

I'm curious though, since adding CU doesn't get to enough teams for a CCG and the Pac10 seemed to like the round robin sched and CU will not add 9-10% of the league's worth to the tv deal, why do you think they were added and why do you think they were added when they were?

In my opinion
1) Denver TV market
2) To aid in the fall of the Big12
3) Allows Pac to recruit in Colorado (if that matters)

Texas Tech is not going to stop playing in Texas ... it will remain in Lubbock, regardless of conference affiliation.

Again, TCU is not in a "Texas conference." We recruited a team that's been in the Top 10 two years in a row. They're almost all Texas kids. Are you dissing our recruits?

It would have the benefit of getting the PAC 10 into Texas. Access to better recruits, and opens up new TV markets

Which of those do you think Tech fits in with better? Hint: two of the schools are in Texas and two aren't.

2) Meaning if you eliminate the north; you dissolve the Big12. Yeah, maybe the Pac wasnt that excited about CU, but hey if it helped them get Texas, then to them it was worth it.

No, it does not make "since."

Put your comment into context. You were saying that Texas Tech's recruiting would be hurt by not being in a Texas conference. You are now apparently trying to backtrack by claiming you meant something else. Does that make "since" to you? If not, have your mom go down in the basement and explain it for you.
