Interesting.  Hope that's the case.  I was thinking it was a shoe-in to be paired with A&M given that they're one of the top national seeds and TCU got one of the last hosting slots.  A 1 vs. 16 seed thing.

The key will be not pairing national seeds from one conference with regional hosts from the same conference.  With 7 SEC/ACC NS and 13 SEC/ACC hosts, it's going to be hard.  
 
Take D1's projected national seeds:
Clemson, Florida, Louisville, LSU, Miami, Mississippi State, Texas A&M, Texas Tech
(4 SEC, 3 ACC, 1 B12)
 
and the other 8 hosts:
FSU, Louisiana, Ole Miss, NC State, SCAR, TCU, Vandy, Virginia
(3 SEC, 3 ACC, 1 B12, 1 SB)
 
- They won't want all 6 ACC schools paired with SEC schools
- They'll want to be somewhat geographic
- When possible, they'll avoid repeated supers
 
My guess, based off D1s projected national seeds:
- (1) A&M /// Louisiana-Lafayette
- (2) Miami /// South Carolina
- (3) Florida /// NC State
- (4) Louisville /// Virginia
- (5) Mississippi State /// FSU
- (6) Texas Tech /// Vanderbilt
- (7) LSU /// TCU
- (8) Clemson /// Ole Miss
 
I also think Ole Miss could get a NS over LSU - higher RPI and won the H2H series.  If so, I'd make some adjustments:
- (6) Texas Tech /// LSU
- (7) Ole Miss /// TCU
- (8) Clemson /// Vanderbilt

I see no real threat to Louisville there.  I personally doubt we get Rice as we've played them 2x, CDC is in the room, and west coast teams need a place to go.  I bet we get Cal State Fullerton as a 2-seed and Utah as a 3-seed and Tech gets UCSB and Oregon State.

Yesterday's game is being replayed on FSSW right now. They just made it 8-6 so a good chunk of the frustrating portion of the game is now over.
