For the record, if we host, I doubt we get paired with A&M. Tech likely gets paired with the token west coast regional host and we get paired with LSU or Miss St, and Louisiana-Lafayette with A&M to avoid repeats.

Pretty sure they call it The Big 12 Baseball Championship and its clearly defined as TWO double elimination tournaments with winners playing a single game for the Championship.  Its not a double elimination tournament.  Imagine the heartburn if they made it Omaha only to find out that there's a whole dang series to be played if you win your double elimination tournament.

Its true that the committee likes to reward teams that are hot AND I just have to hope that the committee sees that the Eers are deserving for more than just being "hot".  They have developed into a damn good baseball team and are young with upside all over the place.

I talked to Derek Matlock (wvu assistant coach) and he says they are probably out....you never know though. Surely OU wouldn't get in over them. Might just be 3 teams from big 12

No way OU gets in.  Less than zero chance unless many teams start declining their bids.  I know Derek well.  Sat with him and RM for several innings early in the tournament.  DM gave private pitching lessons to my son when he was VA at TCU.  He may be right.  In fact, I think the odds are unfortunately long but its a mistake IMO not to take them (and I would put them as a #3 seed somewhere)
