Have you seen their team ERA?Yes, SMU's baseball team was the deciding factor.

Kind of like how the conference bumped up the baseball tournament for BYU. They didn't even make it last year and were the last team in this year.Yes, SMU's baseball team was the deciding factor.
Yes because playing in a spring training facility is better than playing in a MLB stadium.I read it is the spring training facility for the Rangers and Royals so it should be a great set-up for the teams. Players should love that atmosphere. Maybe the distance from the airport or downtown is a bit inconvenient for fans but that should be manageable; they do it for MLB spring training. The infield canopy in the SW corner of the stadium should cover 90% of the infield fans during afternoon and night games and that may be 4-5000 of the stadium’s stated 10,500 capacity?
It may not be single elimination next year. During the game on Saturday, Saarloos said the tournament was returning to pods. The single elimination factor would kill my interest in traveling, especially when there are 3 more potential road trips on the near horizon. I've always wondered how the venues make any money on the conference tournaments anyway. The crowds are pretty sparse.
Do you even thin skinned and entitled fanbase bro?No one expects the Spanish Inquisition of ballparks.

Because it has been reconfigured for football. Why can’t they move it to the old Ballpark where the Rangers played for a long time?

Guessing you have never been to Rangers Spring Training? Facility is pretty average at best for Cactus league - seating is below average and the location is absolutely terrible. They could not find a worse place than Surprise to build a baseball facility if they tried.I read it is the spring training facility for the Rangers and Royals so it should be a great set-up for the teams. …which is just one giant weather delay.Yeah I believe the Big 12 was the only conference using an MLB ballpark (and a dome) for a postseason tournament. B10 uses Schwab in Omaha, ACC uses a minor league park in Durham NC, and SEC uses a small former MiLB park in Hoover AL.
If you’re a shoo-in, more than single elimination is horrible. If you’re on the bubble, maybe it’s a good idea. Seems like it’d burn out a lot of arms for teams that know they probably already have a spot in the tourney. It may not be single elimination next year.
