@PurpleBlood87 @hometown frog - LOL Imagine a team drafting someone in the first round hitting .270, 13 homers, and striking out once every four AB's. He's buried waaaaaaaay down in the D1 stats.
I count 150 other players batting .340 or higher. There's a dozen hitting .400 or better. I count at least 120 players hitting more homers than Stro. He's not ready for pro pitching.
And some of us are trying to state, somebody absolutely will. The tools are all there, regardless of stats this season. Those stats have prob limited his options to get/stay into a top 10 type pick. So it’s factored in. It’s just not gonna drop a player like Stro more and a handfull of picks

Pros see the tools. Arm, speed, power, opposite field ability. They can fix the swing. Maybe.

In very loosely related news, Brayden Taylor is hitting .198 in AA Montgomery. He's hit some HRs in his career but has an overall .215 average.

Hopefully he can get things going; he's still only 23. Well, 24 tomorrow - happy birthday Brayden!

Ouch. Baylor brings in a reliever with runners at 1st and 3rd. He hits the first batter to load the bases, walks the second, then throws a WP.

6-0 Kansas

Dominic Voegele has been lights out for KU. 96 pitches through 7 innings; he just gave up his first run in the bottom of the seventh. Only 4 hits for BU.

6-1 KU

KU with the walkoff homer to win. It was that kid's first extra base hit of the season.
Wow, can't believe that game got close. Voegele was dealing through 7 and they pulled him. I understand that he was at 96 pitches, but this board would be melting down over that change.
