Best position for Trevone Boykin...

I'm curious, what makes some of you believe that CP can come into big 12 competition with an entire year off and unseat Boykin?

He was off for like 7 games. It would be just like he got injured and is back the next year.

Did anyone think that Matt Schaub wasn't gonna win back the Texans job this season after missing the last half of the prior season due to a foot injury? No

It's not like he doesn't know the offense or forgot how to throw a football

Well, not really Wildfrog, but change of pace qb. Wildfrog (or wildcat) is run with your qb (Pachall) still on the field, split out at receiver. That means the WIldfrog is already on the field likely as a receiver to surprise the defenseby lining up at qb. If Boykin comes trotting in from the sideline, that gives the whole wild thing away, right?

What I would not mind seeing is Boykin in the backfield with Pachall on some series as a run/throw option (ala ULMonroe vs. Baylor last year.) Save that for a big game.

Because he's that good. Of course, if he doesn't look like he did even at the beginning of 2011, it'll be different, but he has so much talent that if he's clean, you can't keep him off the field. That being said, if the Boykin we saw vs Tech and Baylor shows up this spring, it'll be an exciting battle.
