Best picture of the season?

Plan is in place. Huzzah! Now, let us gingerly touch our tips...

Upgraded the front drum brakes to disc brakes and the 20" Rockstars actually fit!! The bar with be finished out in mesuite wood with 8 premium bottles and a soda gun.

The 42" tv was too high for the low profile bed cover ( 1" high aluminum diamond plate) so we ended up cutting out a "pocket" in the floor of the bed. Once you raise the bed cover by remote, the tv will adjust with a lever (shock from a chair) to level out so you can watch tv from the back or swing it our 90 degrees and watch from bar side of the truck. Speakers are going inside the bed. Slowly but surely it's coming along, but it will be as dependable as a new car.

Looks great! Can't wait to see more photos. I'd like to see how your TV mount if you've got a photo... curious what that looks like.

The first picture shows how it hangs from the bed cover. We used round steel stock with rollerbearings to hang from the bedcover and rotate as the cover goes upwards. The tv mount is attached to square steel stock that is welded to the round piece. Problem: When we hung the tv, the weight caused it to shift to much and it needed bracing. Therefore, we came up with the shock idea from a chair. The pressure holds it in place while in transport and as it raises. Once the bed cover is raised, just pull the lever and adujust as needed. Easy.

Also, since the tv mount can extend out and turn to the side, we made a "pin" you can see in the first pic to hold the tv and mount in place during transport or watching the tv from the rear of the truck. Just pull the pin and pull it out if you want to watch it from the side.

The second picture shows how we did the crossbracing and the shock.

We did make the pocket in the bed large enough to hold a 46" tv in case we decide to upgrade.

Since we cut out a 7 inch deep by 46 inch wide pocket so the tv will sit a couple of inches below the bed when lowered, we are putting memory foam in the pocket so that the tv will be padded and ride well. The tv will stay in the vehicle at all times but will be garage kept and available for party use on a moments notice.
