I didn't use to even spend one second thinking about the horns down sign until UT started making it sound like someone was taking the Lords name in vain when they did it. That's the only reason I now think it's kind of funny. Listening to the ESPN replay of the game when they had to basically apologize for even jokingly bringing it up sums up the ridiculous attitude they have about that.
