Best Newcomer for 2013?

Ron Swanson

Tunstill, because he's a JUCO guy and comes in at a position of need, is the obvious answer for immediate help.

Trevorris Johnson might be the most college-ready guy in the class but depending on Waymon's knee and Aaron Green's success, we may or may not need him. I think he has a college ready body, it'll just depend on how the depth in front of him does.

Kyle Hicks, Sammy Douglas, Dac Shaw, Ranthony Texada and Patrick Morris might have the most upside in the class.

I agree with Swanson on Tunstill, he'll be an immediate contributor due to needs.

Speaking of most upside, I'm going with Ty Slanina followed by R. Texada.

I like Ty a lot as well.

I know that not a lot of them are very highly rated by the services, but looking through this class just now, I really really like a lot of these dudes (no homo).

I'll go out on a limb here, Bryson Henderson. Same build as as Fields (maybe a little bigger) and had similar stats in HS.

If not him, then Tunstill.

Agreed. It goes back to what GP referenced earlier in the year when he said he and the staff added an additional column when evaluating recruits.....the 'Care' factor aka character. It appears (from a outsiders perspective) that many of the 2013 class have it.

Makes you wonder if he had Hilliard (among others) in mind when referencing the need for "care."

Maybe. But my crystal ball sees a Colin Jones type. Either way, I have a good feeling about him.

In order to have appropriate frog factor, they also have to be willing to get drunk on a whim....

Then I appear to be the biggest newcomer to next year's squad.
