Beating a Dead Horse - But Have to Vent

I know this is beating a dead horse, but I have to vent.

I was checking out the ticket situation of Stubhub and noticed that the four tickets directly next to ours are on Stubhub yet again. Those same four tickets were sold on Stubhub (at a huge mark-up) for the Tech and KSU games as well. This ticks me off. I'd tell the real owner of those tickets how I felt if I knew who they were. As it is, I don't know if they have ever even used them themselves, as I have never sat next to the same person twice. I couldn't make it to the Grambling so I can't speak for the entire season, but to date, the Virginia game was the only game thus far that we sat next to someone that didn't have an opposing team's shirt on. Given this person's history of selling their tickets, I doubt that those TCU fans were even the original owners of the tickets.

I doubt that the real owner of those tickets reads this board because I doubt that they're a true fan. But on the slight chance that the person consistenely selling their four tickets in section 201 is out there, you need to not purchase them next year so they can be used by someone who actually supports their team on game day.

Give section and seat numbers. I usually have a massive beer fart brewing midway through the second quarter. I can slowly release as I scootch by to get to my pretend seats.

I hate opposing fans in our sections...but either buy up the entire section/stadium or deal with it.

I'm sure just as many TCU fans on away games sit in opposing fans sections cuz they can't get tickets in the TCU section.

Judging from where I was sitting in the west side upper deck in Austin last Thurs, many from TCU apparently bought tix from the Longhorns. I saw (and heard) rows of purple all across that entire deck.

UT tix went available to the public early in the year, UT does not sell out with season tix, so anyone can buy individual game tix from UT at face value early in the year.

That game was open for up to 10 seats together in August through UT, I almost bought tix, but i was not sure of thanksgiving plans (tough when there are nurses in the family, they don't know holiday schedules).

Also saw purple down in the season tix section in Austin too. I got mine directly from the UT ticket office many months prior to the game, so I don't disagree with you. My point is, we all travel to games that are close. And many season tix for other schools are also sold to opposing fans too. I've sat in season tix section of Tiger Stadium and had numerous Alabama and Florida people around me. If people want to keep beating this into the ground, fine. But I think it's kind of pointless. We aren't the only school this happens to. We have a smaller alumni base and a smaller venue, so may be more noticeable, but it's really not that big of a deal to me.

It is only a big deal for people because they were forced into bad season tix just so people with more PP could buy to sell on stubhub. If it was not for the plus four it would be a non issue. But when you oust someone from there place in line so that you can sell better seats on stubhub or have them for that one game when you UT friends will want to come, it becomes a huge issue. That is where people have a problem with it.

The seats directly in front of us are always from the opponent

I know someones neighbor at his tailgate spot(lot 4) is always the opponent as well.

People bought season passes just to sell and make a profit.
