Per ESPN:

BAYLOR'S RUSSELL HAS FRACTURE IN NECK
The Bears won big today vs. Iowa State but lost QB Seth Russell with a fracture to a bone in his neck. The team announced he will see a specialist next week and his timetable is unknown. Russell has 27 passing TDs and just 5 INTs for 7-0 Baylor.

Sincerely hate to hear that Russell might have suffered a fracture in his neck. An injury of that magnitude

could have prolong consequences. Hopefully, it is not as serious as has been reported.

IF true, what is the recovery time? I'm guessing season ending? Get well (not so soon?). Go Frogs!

Didn't Petty have something similar last year? May have been a little lower in his back, but I know it was spine-related...

Hope it's (relatively) minor and he doesn't miss any time.

I'm not positive on this, but I was thinking Perty's was more in his back than his neck. Could be wrong but that's what I remember.

Correct. It was his back. Think it was same thing romo had last year.
