[background=transparent][background=transparent] Lache Seastrunk: 'I'm the best back'[/background][/background]

[background=transparent][background=transparent]Baylor running back Lache Seastrunk is so confident in his abilities, he has already laid claim to the 2013 Heisman Trophy.[/background]
[background=transparent]"I'm going to win the Heisman. I'm going to win it in 2013," Seastrunk told the Sporting News this week. "If I don't, I'm going to get very close. I'm shooting for that goal. I will gladly say it."[/background][/background]

I'm going to win the Heisman. I'm going to win it in 2013. If I don't, I'm going to get very close.

[font=Times New Roman'][background=transparent]”[/background][/font]-- Baylor RB Lache Seastrunk,
to the Sporting News[/background]
[/font]

[background=transparent][background=transparent]Baylor coach Art Briles told the Sporting News that Seastrunk's claim on college football's top individual award is "certainly a goal that's realistic."[/background]
[background=transparent]In the first seven games of this season, Seastrunk averaged less than 26 yards a game, but he emerged as a star in November. In Baylor's final five games, he averaged 138.6 yards and ran for five touchdowns, including three at Oklahoma.[/background]
[background=transparent]Seastrunk, playing in his first season of college football, also caught 5 passes for 91 yards and a touchdown Nov. 1 against Kansas, but his most eye-opening performance came Nov. 17 against Kansas State.[/background]
[background=transparent]Seastrunk ran for 185 yards and a touchdown against the No. 1 team in the country.[/background]
[background=transparent]"I feel like there's no back who can do what I do," he told the Sporting News. "I know I'm the fastest back in the country. I know I'm the best back in the country. Nobody's going to work harder."[/background]
[background=transparent]Seastrunk will be a junior next season after redshirting at Oregon in 2010 and sitting out a season while he transferred to Baylor.[/background]
[background=transparent]His recruitment at Oregon is at the center of the NCAA's ongoing investigation that the Ducks improperly used a football scouting service run by Willie Lyles, who had a close relationship with Seastrunk. When Oregon released what Lyles provided the Ducks for $25,000, it was mostly worthless, outdated profiles and information.[/background][/background]

I think we just need to cool it and wait for boner to offer his analysis. After all he, correctly predicted that RGIII had no chance of winning the Heisman and was not an NFL caliber qb.

No problem with him saying that. Maybe not so smart to say it to reporters. But I hope all of our RB's have that same mindset. BTW the kid is a stud, no way Baylor wins 4 out last 5 without him.

Perhaps the only thing faster than him is his mouth. If he could slow that down he would have seen much more time early on. Great athlete though. However, there is a reason he was 5th on UO's depth chart. Not scared.

TF1...you KNOW I love that last LT clip against smoo!!

And B4P, teamfast is FAR from a Baylor troll. He hates Baylor with the best of 'em.

Too lazy to look it up.. Aren't they our last game next season? If so, I desperately hope he's a Heisman front runner coming into the game, neck-and-neck with a couple guys. Then we stonewall him. And the story goes:

Pre TCU - Lache Seastrunk: Heisman Hopeful
Post TCU - Lache Seastrunk: Nevermind
