Basketball Coaches at Berkner Last Night

TCU coaches were in attendance last night to see 6'4 point guard Kendal Yancy Harris at Richardson Berkner. The four star Rivals 150 player is looking to get out of his LOI to USC since the coaching change. Kendal had visited TCU previously and reportedly had a good visit. He was also AAU teammates with Frog signees Karviar Shepherd and Brandon Parrish.

Yancy-Harris was the first PG that Trent Johnson offered this year. If the Frogs are able to bring in we are looking at a top 25 class for basketball. Most services currently rate our class anywhere from 25th to 30th.

If we could bring this kid it our class will be amazing. It's already impressive, but this would bring it to the next level.

Wow that kid is redunckulous! He is better than any player currently playing on the Frogs team. He can shoot from the arc, top of key, in the paint, dunk, move with the ball, move without the ball, pass and assist, and plays pretty good D. We could only dream about getting a kid like that on the team.

Really tough to say at this point, KC. Especially since TJ has a couple of Juco guys like Algie Key and Elgin Cook who may fight for starting jobs at the two and three spots if he can get them here. I think it is just going to depend on how quickly Parrish adjusts to the college game. Point guard was going to be interesting anyway with Williams coming in next year, but if Kendal came here we suddenly have quite a log jam at the one. Harris has the size to play the two, but with his PG skills you want the ball in his hands to create offense.

I'm excited about anyone who can hit an open jumper. Being able to get to the rim and flush on someones pumpin head is a nice bonus.

Not quite the fab five but would definitely get the locals excited.

Even with Coach Daugherty or Christian we could recruit athletes.. the thing is that we struggled with getting accurate shooters, it seems.

Zvonko drove our coaching staff nuts and I'm amazed he wasn't dismissed before his eligibility was used up, but he was MWC Newcomer of the Year in his first season.

Hope Kendal lands here. Speaking of local recruits, what's the deal with Keith Frazier? Is he a huge academic risk? His listed schools of interest are down in caliber quite a bit from what they were originally.

If we can get him, it would be the best class since the MJ's. I still keep up with every game dreaming of the day when we will be good again.

Frazier is visiting SMU and it wouldn't surprise me if he ended up there. Judging by the Seguin vs. Kimball game he and Parrish didn't like each other very much. Parrish frustrated him all night.

Watched that game and really felt like Parrish held him in check and really looked like the better of the two. Just my opinion but I don't think Frazier looks like the TJ type. Looked in undisciplined and like he was just going to do whatever he wanted while on the court.

And based on the video, he's used to playing in front of an empty gym... He'll fit in great.
