The Johnson County Community College kid Ryan Bradford probably will start in one of those OF spots.

Maybe Mascaro found out after a year that TCU wasn't for him. Possibly he'll go back to play somewhere in Utah.
There are tons of kids with spirit and a chip on their shoulder. We need more kids like that, and fewer who are so highly regarded as to be spoiled. The portal is full of guys who will bust their tails.

Not a portal pickup for WVU but this kid has a ton of Frog Factor:

Bad teams with lots of returning players will probably be a bad team the next year. I like the flushing of this team. I just wish the head coach was also being flushed.

I have known many high school coaches who have said the best thing about their teams at the end of the a season was graduation.

Addition by subtraction is sometimes good.

And here he is, singing into the ESPN headset mic.

I believe TCU is at 14-15 full scholarships plus revshare plus whatever NIL can be fostered, so I question this posts statement that we are at 25 full scholarships. (Now I don’t know what we are planning for next year. But I’m mostly certain we are at that 15 number for the current year as that came from Saarloos.)

He 100% has ALWAYS had it figured out- He’s just become an old man shouting at clouds now because he no longer 100% controls all the levers the way he once did. It’s not so easy to outspend the competition for the best talent, when it’s all out in the open.
He has out coached the “best talent” more times than not. He still gets to decide what and where he wants to do anything he desires. SEC football is not same w/o him on a sideline, and the conference did not need Texas or Oklahoma.

Then we're roughly same as OSU, UTAH, BYU.

Someone pointed out that Milwaukee, CalPoly, Little Rock, Troy and St Johns must have 34 fully funded scholarships and big NIL dollars.

Though I do believe that if you're expecting year in, year out playoffs and CWS runs, you're going to have to pay up

I told my SEC friends years ago, if paying players is legal, the Texas oil money will crush the southeast. UT and A&M alums have old SWC PTSD from cheating. The SEC turned cheating to a high art in the 1990’s and early 2000’s. Now all those tricks mean nothing.

No more winks, Trans Am’s and $100 handshakes, this is all $’s and oil money cannot be beat by most SEC schools and it will get worse for them as we go forwar. The old SEC will get not be able to keep up, year in, year out, as the Texas wellls keep pumping.
