after beating A&M and BYU we dropped?

Thats a little frustrating. Baseball America has been pretty nice to us, it'll be interesting to see what they say.

A lot probably has to do with how bad A&M has been doing lately.
They have been having a rough time.

I have been busy with school, so I am only really seeing A&M and TCU's progress..I dont know who everyone else has been playing

Can't believe we dropped after going 4-0 last week! What a croc ...

Won four games against lesser opponents. Won four games you are supposed to win. Unless someone takes a hit in front of you, where are you going to go?

Yeah, didn't look at what losses might have been ahead of us, if any. Just didn't think we'd drop a spot, especially after beating a 20-win team.

On the bright side, there are 4 SEC teams directly in front of us.

7 Florida
8 LSU
9 Arkansas
10 South Carolina

Florida still has weekend series left against LSU, Ark, & SC.
LSU has a weekend series left against UF, Ole Miss, & Vandy.
Arkansas still has weekend series left against UF, SC, Ole Miss, Vandy, & Auburn.
South Carolina still has weekend series left against UF & Ark.

Attrition should get at least 2 (and maybe 3 of them) out of our way down the road.

I think you have made a good point: two of these teams will drop at least one series before the season ends. The polls reward winning series each weekend, even if you drop a game and possibly a mid-week game as well (UF and FSU did just that last week, each dropping a mid-week and one of their weekend games). TCU must continue to win its weekend series, and we must come back in the suspended Air Force game. If not, we will get hammered for losing a weekend series to a poor team.

And unfortunately we should get hammered for losing against Air Force. I know the entire team was sick, but Air Force is amazingly that bad. We are too good of team to lose to Air Force. I still think this team has Omaha potential, whether we lock up a big seed or not.

This season will rest with the bullpen, which needs to step up.

Texas swept A$M this past weekend and hurdles up to #2 and #3, there is no reasoning for our drop.....PERIOD....

Texas didn't just sweep A&M, they sucked the life right out of the Aggies in two of the more humiliating days the A&M team has ever endured at Olsen Field. You go into College Station and outscore the Ag's 22-0 and give up 5 hits in 18 innings you probably deserve to move up in the polls. Throw in Jungmann's 7 innings on Friday night and the UT starters combined for 25 innings 8 hits 23 K's and ZERO runs this past weekend. They were kind enough to ease up on the Ag's by running their All American closer out their to give up 3 runs on Friday or it would have been a weekend whitewash. The Horns are good, real good.
