Interesting that Warren is talking openly about this stuff right after finishing the TV contract stuff. Seems like he might be preparing the ground for something. Difficult to see how the Pac 12 pursues its own TV rights talks in the climate this kind of comment is producing.

Note that Warren was responding to Gumbel’s questions and said he “could” see paying players and expanding to 20. He wants to be part of this conversation. Brett McMurphy’s tweet is misleading. Angelique Chengelis is with The Detroit News newspaper.

Good catch. McMurphy's tweet was all I'd seen on this; it is, indeed, misleading.
