Austin American-Statesman: Vaccaro, TCU’s Pachall denied a shot at reunion matchup

Kenny Vaccaro is disappointed that he won’t get to play against longtime friend and Early High School teammate Casey Pachall this week.
Pachall was TCU’s starting quarterback until he left the team in early October to get help at a drug and alcohol treatment facility after his arrest on suspicion of drunken driving.
TCU was 4-0 with Pachall at quarterback. The Horned Frogs are 2-4 with his replacement, redshirt freshman Trevone Boykin, albeit against a tougher schedule.
Vaccaro and Pachall had been anticipating this week’s game.
“We talked about it all summer,” Vaccaro said. “We grew up together. We played football all our lives together. We’re the best of friends. It’s sad that he can’t play.” ...
