As advertised …

Before this weekend, our knowledge of Texas was limited to a few Lyle Lovett albums and "King of the Hill" reruns on FX.

After a few days in Fort Worth, we're fans. The self-proclaimed "Cowtown" has a very collegiate feel, from the kitschy bars on West Berry Street to the rows of fraternity and sorority houses near tony University Avenue.

And the food! We loved Mama's Pizza, a TCU institution, and the legendary Railhead barbecue joint. Next time you're here, try the brisket. ...
