Are we chickening out vs. Dallas Baptist?

New to this board but I am disappointed the game is cancelled vs. DBU. One of my son's lifelong friends plays for DBU and I was excited to come watch him play vs. the school I graduated from and sense something fishy.

I drove by the field yesterday and saw that there was no tarp on the field at all despite it having rained all day. Why would they not put tarp on the field? My son's friend and his dad think that TCU is afraid to play DBU again since DBU already beat them once and losing to DBU again could be costly, so they "forgot" to put down the tarp on the field. He pointed out how DBU 2 years ago was supposed to play Texas in Austin and the game was "rained out" despite it not raining at all within 24 hours of the game's start time and Austin having an artificial playing surface. The truth obviously was Texas was afraid to face DBU that year since DBU was a strong independent team.

For all purposes though there is no valid legitamite excuse for the tarp not to be down on the field when its raining ESPECIALLY when there is a scheduled game the next day. So did we do this on purpose to dodge Dallas Baptist?

Yeah, sure TCU is cared toplay DBU. TCU has pounded DBU over the last few years albeit they lost one game to the Baptists this year. TCU while far from perfect, is a much more talented squad than DBU this year. Let me know when Oliver Stone wants to chime in on this.

Yes, that's exactly what happened. That and the outfield, especially RF, is probably a lake. But mainly to avoid DBU.

I sense something fishy about your entire story and your lack of spelling prowess.

This just in TCU swept Houston and outscored Cougar High, 33-4. In more news, Houston still hasn't beat TCU in football this century.

Yes the #10 team in the country is terrified of DBU and we are thanking God in heaven above that they don't have a football team because we might have to think of some "legitamite" reason to not play them in that sport.

I think they are upset because the Dallas Baptists are like the Waco Baptists that use road games to guzzle phat amounts of beer and then order cheeseburgers with extra onions to mask the beer breath from their wives. So I have heard.

Back to some sort of seriousness outside of the trolling OP, don;t know how much rain FW area had but MW airport recorded 5 inches of rain from late Friday to early Sunday. Pretty good flooding in areas, PK Lake opened three and possibly a fourth gate to alleviate flooding above the lake.

A lot of freaking water ....

Fact is, TCU Baseball field has always had some pretty bad drainage problems. Seems they fix them, but only temporarily. As far as the tarp goes, not hard for one to be blown away, especially they way they weigh them down.

could devise such a cunning and devious ploy.
